MEDIA LITERACY INTERVENTION IN A SOUTHEASTERN U.S. PUBLIC ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: EXAMINING THE EFFICACY OF MEDIA LITERACY FACILITATORS

Through my research, I am to find what the effects of media literacy intervention are on facilitators’ perceptions of the students’ media literacy comprehension. Media literacy facilitators in this context are the undergraduate students at the University of Alabama who work with students at a southeastern U.S. elementary school to teach media literacy lessons to ultimately create a student newspaper. My research question is: what is the impact of media literacy intervention on the perceptions of the facilitators on students’ media literacy?
